Watching Oslo DL right now, how are all the stands and stadiums always so full all over Europe for this "regular season" meets, and we can't even fill Hayward for the World Championships. What's up with that? Seriously wondering what the US should do different to bring in crowds like Europe for track.

Get World's, USAs, NCAAs out of Eugene and we would get more fans at meets. LA, NY, Chicago would all draw crowds. Even Iowa would draw more than Hayward. Eugene has no lodging, is filthy, and the long time track fans in Eugene are jaded distance oriented fans that prefer the old Hayward and most actually have not even bothered to come out to the new stadium.
Time to move past the mythic Hayward as the end all & be all of USA T&F.
I’m going to NYC Grand Prix June 24th and I hope it is pretty packed. Kerley Lyles Gabby Thomas etc are there so the names are showing up. Granted, not an ideal location but a fairer comparison with a meet like this.

Well theLA Grand Prix wasn't really crowded. The New York DL was poorly attended before it got the axe.
The stadium in Oslo is smack in the middle of a cool neighborhood with lots of stores and shops. Exit the stadium, cross the street and have dinner or a drink. Sort of like Fenway Park.

That's totally not true. There have been plenty of meets in LA, NY and Chicago and most of those meets have very few spectators.

Bislett only holds ~15000 spectators. Use a small enough stadium and it will probably looked filled.
