Fun stuff.

Uh oh, keep an eye on Norway. If it's this excited, it might cheat. Measure that track

TMI there.
Nah. To get a statue...He should get the 3000M Steeple World Record also...Then, he would have a trifecta-2 Mile, 1500 Meter, and Steeple. People would then start talking about a distance decathlon, including Cross Country, Marathon, .... While we are at it...What about an Ironman?
See Steeple World Record thread:
Jakob Ingebrigtsen World Record in Steeple Chase? 2 Mile vs Steeple: 1.99 Second difference
Lol, probably trying to say how difficult it is to run a distance WR at Bislett. Or underplaying it all to reduce pressure?
World Athletics/BBC are showing this WR attempt tonight? Or is it outside the TV window again to make room for the women's shotput?
El G ran 3:44 mile in Oslo. The track is fast enough.
25 world records have been set here in Oslo, including 3 on the same day in 1985.
I wish femke bol would look at me like that

Perhaps also check if it is downhill all around the track?

.90 which for all practical purposes is 3.45

26 years later, it's not the same track.

I believe it has been resurfaced, lanes added, and the stadium changed a bit since then.
There already is a statue of Ingebregtsen:
I hate to point it out, but he kind of looks like Gumby
Bislett was faster back when it was a six lane track and the fans were just a few feet away from the runners. More energy transference. Yes, it's a real thing.

Must've been the super shoes.
I am for the statue, plenty of other sports have statues of players made in front of stadiums. Jakob definitely merits that kind of idolizing
