What's up with all these free live streams from RunnerSpace lately? New Balance Nationals from Franklin Field starting tomorrow will also be free for all 4 days. Coverage of Brooks starts at 4:50 E.T. today.
Same with Nike Outdoor Nationals. That means we get the epic HS mile showdown we’ve been waiting for. I don’t know why there are so many free streams lately but I’m certainly here for it. Good for the sport.
You think Ali Ince has a 2:01 in her?? Decent enough mile time 2 weeks ago at Hoka (tho she got 6th) but it's been awhile since she's crushed an 800. She's due to go off at 6:35 E.T. tonight by the way.

She ran her 2:03.17 PR this April at Arcadia. Between Arcadia and Hoka she went 29-1 by my count (including relays and prelims), only losing the Illinois State 4x800 final. She ran under her prior years’ 400 PR 3 times since Arcadia, and PRed by 7 seconds in the mile at Hoka. So I don’t know if she can run 2:01, but I definitely wouldn’t read into her lack of blazing 800s recently.

Thanks for that, but if Ali really has run 30 races between Arcadia & Hoka (just 8 weeks!) all the more reason not to expect anything approaching a 2:01 here today. And the fact I don't recognize her competition today leads me to believe she'll have to do it solo.
Im not convinced there is anybody who could press her in this field like Browne did at Arcadia that would allow her to get down to a 2:01. Maybe Putman or Shults can run out of their minds? Not sure. But she would likely have to do it on her own. And Brooks has always been a free stream to my recollection. Same with the others.

Well that’s kind of the whole reason she hasn’t run a super fast 800 recently. (From Athletic.net) On April 25th for example she ran a 57 400, a 2:17 800, a 5:08 1600 and a leg on the 4x4 - that’s not 4 exhausting races, that’s a workout. I figure she’s been essentially training through the scholastic season in preparation for meets like Brooks.
Having said that…I would guess she’ll run another 2:03.
cant wait for the arcadia 3200 rematch at brooks 2 mile (simmons, hansen, burnbaum). just saying if your good next year, don't make a mistake on skipping out on arcadia 3200 in 2024
For those in the Seattle area, it's being held at the Renton Stadium. I've also heard that there is no admission fee to get in. In other words, it's FREE to attend!

Yes, free admission. Weather looks great, no rain, no wind, low to mid 60s. Starts in 90 minutes.
Ugh, there's no race clock on the broadcast so far!
Yeah, bummer. But I've been able to see the splits on the clock board near the finish line. Girls 2 mile up. Shea vs Engelhardt as well as Bob Kennedy's daughter. Meet record of 9:50 could go down.
