All the hype for NAU - that's a lot of distance points for Stanford Wednesday and tonight.

Nobody cares
Podium!
There is no love for Stanford from the majority of people here. Just hate and envy. If Stanford underperforms, the haters crow about it. When Stanford dominates, the haters are predictably silent. The silence is music to my ears!
Lots of uplifting music playing thru Lex & Leo's ears right now, I would imagine . . .
Yes. Impressive job by Stanford tonight. Hard to miss.
Where's the Florida Gator love? They the meet, again.
*won
Impressive podium finish. I liked when the guy who won the 200 said people questioned him for choosing a "distance school." Didn't seem to matter - he won and gave Stanford some maybe previously "unexpected" points that really helped.
Ky Robinson 5K/10K winner is Australian. Charles Hicks is British (strange he has no accent at all). Stanford one of the top colleges in usa, so they can recruit top distance runners worldwide. Will be interesting how Lex and Leo Young do there next Fall.
Hicks has been in the US since 7th grade and he said he lost his accent but i have british friends who were born in the US and always had an accent. But 3rd place with 3 people is insane
The new coaching staff is going for a balanced team. The previous coaches also had pretty good balance - besides the distance crew they had the decathlete and on the women's side the throwers. Previous staff started to make some inroads into sprinting before departing for other programs. Despite the previous era's reputation as a distance program, the current program has much greater depth at distance, which can also be said about all of D1 these days. The bars have risen in all events, this new generation is putting out world-class and Olympic quality performances almost routinely. Really amazing.
2 years from now Stanford is done for all time
He has American parents who lived in the UK for about 10 years and Charles was born there during the stay. He has both US and UK passports. Don't know why he chose to run for the UK, but his choice. Still, he's as American as apple pie. Mom is a Stanford alum too.
They also can get around the 12.6 rule since their endowment is high
Why so needy?
Results speak for themselves.
That's why I call the respondents on this message board "savages ". They're here to reap blood not give praise lol.
because we're ethnocentric and the Stanford guy, Ky Robinson, is from Aus. So, it doesn't feel like a victory for us.
Really great result with three guys contributing points.
The women’s team is also strong.
