Explained in the subject above. Looking for something with one of the new generation foams that will give some bounce and cushioning but maybe something a bit snappier and lighter then say the Nike Invincibles. Might even take on occasional well groomed grass or trails but mainly for road work. Easy Miles and some uptempo stuff.

Hyperion Tempo is nothing like Endorpin Speed. Much firmer, lower stack height and no plate.
Just go ahead and get some Endorphin Speeds and don't waste time looking for something comparable.

Sounds reasonable. I just wanted to make sure there weren't some folks that swore by something else as better.
Don’t sleep on the new balance rebel v3s. Can do easy days, tempo, and speed work in them. Probably not great for technical trails but other than that imo a near perfect shoe.
Endorphin Speed and NB Rebel are both great choices. Endorphin has a poly plate (although I don't find it very noticeable) and the Rebel doesn't have a plate, but they are functionally very similar to me. Supposedly the Asics Magic Speed 3 is similar too (haven't tried it).
You mention the Asics Superblast, which is going to be a very different shoe. Much more cushion and less response - not that that's a bad thing. Don't sleep on the Novablast either - a bit more structure and cushion than the first tier of shoes mentioned, but not really as maximal as the superblast.
