"Although it should be pointed out neither Dibaba nor Aden was ever punished for the incident and Aden was acquitted in Spanish court last year after being charged with supplying banned substances to an athlete."
When did that happen? Anyone have any more information?

And you wonder WHY almost everyone at the top in distance is on the sauce. If they're not, they're probably on a TUE or five. Chances of getting caught are slim to none unless you're reckless/an idiot and some people caught still get away with no severe punishment.
Well... letsrun.com didn't provide any link, and it was never discussed here. One would think there'd be a huge thread on letsrun about such an acquittal, as well as some reports online that google would find.
Also in the same article: "both Kipyegon and her coach Patrick Sang have strong reputations in the sport" ... but there was also this:
It's been two weeks since we learned Eliud Kipchoge's training partner was popped for testosterone. Has anyone in the Kenya media even bothered to asked about this? I haven't seen a single statement from Kipchoge or his camp...
This happened back in December. It was hard to know exactly what was going on, because the only article I saw on it was in Spanish. But I reached out to the AIU and they confirmed he had been acquitted in Spanish court. The AIU told me in January they that they’re still reviewing the evidence from that case before determining whether the AIU considers the matter closed.

Shouldn't this be a huge story? The article is dated 16 NOVEMBER 2022.
It's been nearly 7 months since the Spanish Criminal Courts acquitted Aden and you are right -- I could only find this one article in Spanish. Where is the Daily Mail and the Guardian?
Compare that to June 2016, and all the photos of Aden being escorted by the Policia, and all the gossip about all the drugs found in other rooms, and the syringes of non-doping substances being thrown away at night.
Who could have predicted that despite the increased criminal investigative powers, there wasn't enough evidence to link Aden with doping his athletes?
The AIU has had 7 months (actually 7 years), and as far as I know, Aden has neither been suspended or charged with anything. If the AIU finds nothing, and quietly closes the matter, what then? (Although it wouldn't suprise me if they find some legal loophole in the WADA code and convict him for sending an email, or tampering with the process by throwing away empty syringes of B-12 at night in remote bins at night).
But June 2016 is nearly seven years. If he is acquitted by the Spanish criminal courts, and the AIU finds too little to bring doping charges -- how does Aden get those 7 years back, after having his name dragged through the tabloids and message boards and the public? In a world that values innocent until proven guilty, he was never suspended or charged, nor officially banned from coaching, but surely this damaged his coaching prospects.
Shouldn't "letsrun" at least update some of it's "all you needed to know about Jama Aden" links, and post a story on the front page, like it does with all "Doping News"?
This is another reason why Katir is so suspicious. Refusing to name the dopers uncovered by Operacion Puerto, as well as destroying all the blood samples, and now acquitting Jama Aden.

Spain should be kicked out like Russia.
I guess just being Moroccan and Spanish alone would be reason enough for you. Most countries don't make doping a crime, and would not even direct criminal investigative resources at all, for things like "Operacion Puerto", and sting operations like with Aden. But Spain should be kicked out, for not going above and beyond other countries by far enough?
Getting back to Aden -- contrary to popular belief, the evidence against Aden always looked thin. No dope found in his room, and no athletes found doped. The dope was only found in the rooms of Balla and Mounir. The prosecutors tried to prosecute Aden for harming his athletes with non-doping products, violating Spanish law, but not WADA's rules. They also tried to make a doping link between Mounir and Aden, but looks like this also failed.
The judge wrote (translated to English) that the suspicions against Aden "have not been sufficient to support his conviction. The existence of an organization or network could not be determined."
Now you are openly defending Jama Aden. Shocking, but not as low as the time you defended the former coach of Straub and Beyer for feeding his 13 year old female athlete dangerous and illegal drugs.
If you had something worthwhile and true about EPO (which you don't), do you honestly think it helps your case by also defending people like Jama Aden and all the cheats you've defended here in the past? I mean there is absolutely no logical reason (other than being motivated by doping apologism) why somebody should have a genuine belief that EPO doesn't work AND a belief that just about every doper and shady manager or coach is innocent.

At least we know who your paymaster is now.
I'm being paid by the Spanish Criminal courts? They acquitted Aden, so I guess he no longer needs defending. I always think I'm siding myself with the known evidence.
If I recall, the German coach was found guilty of breaking German law. I agreed with a court fining him for breaking the law.
I recall it was you who said he was doping the young athletes, and then linked to an article that he wasn't doping his young athletes, but he was breaking the law. I guess pointing out your mistake is "defending" a coach I agreed should be fined for breaking the law?

I think no one has "something worthwhile and true about EPO" and elite distance running performance. We need better observations.
I try to stay with the known facts. Defending the facts sometimes gets misinterpreted as defending "shady" people accused of things without facts.
I always think I'm siding myself with the known evidence.
LOL. No. You always side with the suspect, see Aden + Salazar + Decker + Houlihan + Jeptoo + Kiprop for starters, no matter whether or not the evidence was enough for a ban.
The article doesn't say what the specific charges were but based on the fact that it refers to the lack of evidence of an organization and a scheme, I'm guessing the problem is he was charged with some sort of conspiracy-type offense, maybe under a law similar to the US's RICO statute, but there wasn't enough evidence of some specific elements of that offense. So possibly a situation where the charges the prosecutor went with weren't the best choice of what to pursue.
