Sounds like others have had different experience, but I really didn't agree with the Rincon 3's. Gave them away after a few weeks of trying them under different circumstances. Maybe I didn't spend long enough breaking them in, but they were already wearing, and they bruised my toenails - and that was enough for me to throw in the towel on them. They just seemed average in every respect and even if they didn't bruise my toenails I don't know where they would fit into my shoe rotation (not soft, not fast, blah).
1) The outsole wore very quickly. One of the least durable "training" shoes I have experienced.
2) Its as if the clunky midsole both (a) lacked cushion, but also (b) diminished the responsiveness. These are neither cushy nor responsive shoes. Really not impressed with the midsole material they used here.
3) I haven't killed my toenails in a long time. 5-7 runs in with these shoes, I had two black toenails.
