My Pegasus 39 have like <200 miles on then and sadly the airbag on the left shoe popped somehow. It happened with the same pegs in the same color on the same side so basically this is my second pair. I’m wondering if I should just replace them in case I develop any mysterious injuries and buy another shoe like the Rebel v3.

If you’re concerned about developing any mysterious injuries, it might be best to replace your popped Pegs. However, if you’re not experiencing any discomfort or pain while wearing them, you might be able to continue using them. It’s important to note that shoes can wear out over time and lose their support and cushioning, which can lead to injuries. If you decide to replace your Pegs, the New Balance Fresh Foam Rebel v3 is a great option for a comfortable and supportive shoe.
Better safe than sorry, it's an easy call to replace them. If one side is popped, you're going to experience diminished support on one side and certainly could wind up with a chronic injury. I had an airbag pop once, sent the shoes to Nike with a note explaining that I had <100 miles on the shoes and they sent me a replacement pair. After the airbag popped prematurely in another pair, I swore off Nike air shoes.
We stand behind our shoes and gear. If your Nike shoes or apparel develop a material or workmanship flaw within two years of the manufacture date, we want to get you back in the game.
I have had so many pairs of pegs/vomeros and sometimes I swear one side is stiffer than the other (I suspect popped airbag but I cannot think of a way to confirm without cutting the shoe in half)
