I am trying to create a summer and in season cross country training block for my sister who is currently going into her Sophomore year of HS.
Stats
- Her second year of running ever and would also be her first summer mileage year
- PR's- 5:58 Mile, 2:39 800m, 22:42 5k XC
- Highest Peak Mileage: 25 MPW
Her coaching has been shaky and inconsistent which is why I am attempting to put together a training block. Her peak would be around 35-40 MPW. She will be racing around 7-8 races for the season with the ultimate goal of Districts, Regionals, and States which would take place around late October, Early November. Any guidance for an outline of the structure of her training? Any info helps, thank you guys!
