We have merged two threads into 1 as we like to have 1 thread per topic. We don't need a thread on how she's running the 10,000 and then another on how she did. Here is a video of her on the final lap:
I thought if she wasn't running in the 1500m given the short turn around from soundrunning she would just run 5000m on saturday. She talked about focusing on the 1500m. I guess it is a way to get some miles in.

Looks like she is doing 10k & 5k at ACCs. Maybe this means she is doing 10k / 5k at nationals now and scrapping the 1500m.
I was hoping she would focus on the 1500 like she has been talking about. I wonder what spurred the change.
The 1500/5000 double is less viable than the 10/5 double due to the schedule, with the 1500m final being less that an hour and a half before the 5000m final. But the 10/5 is very draining.
I would have preferred that she run the 800m at conference. Develop her speed reserve for 1500m. that is what she lacks. The 10000m, other than a tempo run, makes no sense to me, at least for her anyway.
This is very surprising. I thought for sure based on her interview at Sound Running’s event that she’d be focusing on 1500 for speed at ACC’s and Nationals (with a 5000m at Nationals for the repeat at a lower effort).
This 10,000 throws a curve. Maybe as someone else mentioned, a way to get some miles in and help with team points at the same time.
ACC’s are held right there on her home turf there at NC State, bet they get a HUGE home crowd come out for the event.
Maybe a record run attempt? I personally think not as its not exactly a properly set up situation for that with the right people to make it super fast.
It’ll be her and Amanda Vestri going for the win I imagine.

This one has me scratching my head. No reason to run 10K at nats, so this is a fun run to pick up some points for the team. A good fast 1500 would be good for her confidence, not to mention her training.
It’s because the coach saw the thread with the Tuohy vs Simpson points comparison. Tuohy needs another event to match Simpson’s total number of events in which she has a top ten time.
