could the best boys HS b-ball team in your state beat the best team in WNBA?

So easily it wouldn't even be funny. The boys Under-15 soccer team used to routinely beat the USA women's soccer team, back when they actually played each other.
internationally elite women are about on part with internationally elite 13-14 year old boys.
there may be a state or two with very low population that would get beat by the very best WNBA team, but honestly even that is unlikely.
A good percentage of hs boys can dunk in game. Very few women can. Professional women would probably have a higher bball IQ, but the boys ability to dunk and rebound would make the difference, assuming they would figure that out and exploit it.
Might depend a little on what size ball they'd be using and where the three-point line would be, but almost certainly the best HS boys' team in NYS would beat the WNBA champs.
Are you kidding? We have Little League teams here that could beat them. I doubt any of the WNBA players could hit a curve ball. Meanwhile, our kids would be going yard on just about every blooper pitch they threw. It would be batting practice for them.
To put it into a running perspective, you are asking if the best HS 4x4 in a state (let's assume 3:15) can beat the best professional training group of women. There were only 9 women in the world who broke 50.0 last year, so even the top 4 women in the world on a 4x4 would probably lose to a state's top HS 4x4.
Have you seen 14 years old boys recently? They are far taller and stronger than any non juiced female athlete. All the HFCS and fried foods are growing superhumans that hit puberty at 10.
I don't think it would even take the best team in most states. The difference in speed, strength, and athletic ability between high boys WNBA women is profound. The women would likely be more skilled, but that would be negated by the difference in athleticism.
Yes. All 50 states.
EVERY Varsity team at a suburban school of greater than 500 kids would destroy the WNBA champs. The only Varsity boys teams that could lose are either the inner-city schools that have absolutely no direction or very small town teams.

Are you really claiming the suburban school would be better at basketball than the inner-city school????
The best boys HS soccer team in my state could probably beat a WNBA team in basketball.
Odd number of these "questions" on here. Seems like a strange obsession.

My high school basketball team was not the best in state but 2nd best (Texas). Our ladies' volleyball team was one of the best in state. We played them in volleyball and beat them 15-0 and 15-1. We may have palmed a few balls. Our front line was 6-9, 6-9 and 6-7.
But could Newbury Park beat them?

Long distance running might be the only sport where the top women pros would prevail against the top male HS stars. If you ran a 10K at world cross and pitted the top 5 US HS males in a given year against the top 5 finishers in the woman’s senior race, the women would defeat them handily, no? I wouldn’t think HS boys would be able to win a WMM either, right?
If they can, should the WNBA be shut down or is there some other motivation for your thread?
HS boys break 14 for 5k

If the NBA was not funding it, it would already have been shut down many years ago. No one wants to watch an inferior product.
