I hope they drug test her. Not because I think she is using PEDs, but to foreclose any argument by those trolls who always want to say that any older person putting in an extraordinary performance must be using drugs to do it.
What did Joanie run at age 59?
At 65 Joan Benoit ran a 3:20. Not sure what she ran at 59, but I doubt much faster than 3 hours

Teenagers using SARMS, masters athletes visiting the doctor to get some help to "bring them back to normal" with their running.
There appears to be no right or wrong anymore, it's all about "what you can get away with"
I am hoping that Ms. Hitching is not one of the runners here in Sacramento who has been utilizing a doctor in SF. It would be good for the sport if her performance was legit.
Lol. Proving once again women are tougher than men. I would know. As having twins isn’t easy!
There’s a place by me with a billboard that openly advertises steroids to anyone who pays for it. “Calling all Alpha males and females: Reclaim your youth!”
You can spot their customers at the local races instantly. They’re built like brick-built heavyweight-boxers, but float along like a gaunt, Kenyan track-specialist half their age and mass.
And if they post their runs on Strava it becomes obvious when you see masters runners hitting it hard, day after day. Break an age group record one day, and the next day it is a long run at tempo pace. We call it the "Armstrong effect". When Lance was on the juice, he could it it hard day after day, and he did not have access to a taco truck either.
Pretty obvious of you look at a few pictures.
A lot of these older athletes started late and completely skipped competitive running in their 20s/early 30s.

Joanie ran 2:57 at NYC in 2013, age 56
If she hadn't run close to this time when she was 48, i'd believe she is clean. But no way someone runs like a 2:46 at age 48 and PRs at 59? something does not smell right at all.

Look at her progression. she was running similar times in her mid 40s. the shoes do not stop the decline due to aging between 50 and 60.
usatf or wada give a crap that an old lady ran a WR. fine. but don't keep AG records.
It is just something special in the water here in Sacramento. Lol

I thought you were a registered user. Is this really you. It seems maybe not.
Exactly. At 56 (not 59), she ran 12 minutes slower than hitchings. Joanie was the best in the world at her prime.
