Just the three of them in the race Colin wins, because they’d either have to push the pace and be his pace-setters and have him outkick them or they could let it go slow and try kicking against a 1:48 flat guy (who realistically could’ve dipped under 1:48)
No, it’s not. It would be one race and the their fitness could be affected by previous injuries/illness or their priorities for the season. Flipping a coin would be just as accurate.

Who has the best fitness right now? It matters and the Youngs are hardly slow-twitch, anyway.
I think it really comes down to what kind of a race it is.
Honestly, if there were a big pack and they were all strung out running 13:40 pace, then one of the Youngs would win because they could hold on to that rhythm longer.
But if it were tactical and there was erratic pacing and a big pack with 400 to go, I'd take Sahlman. He does have legit wheels.
That is just based on NXN and logic. I have no secret insider information. What is fair to say is that all three guys are super fit right now and I would love to see that race!
p.s. Are we taking wagers on who breaks 4:00 in the mile first?
