Programming is becoming more competitive during the current economic climate. If you have a passion for it, I say go for it. But don't do it just for the money. You will most likely burn out and/or fail.
Life imitating "Office Space"? Maybe the key to happiness is trading the politics and cruelty of corporate life for an honest day's work at a job that creates actual value?
If you are good at marketing/media (your current role?) there is high demand for video creation/editing amongst folks trying to create their own wifi money. Wages are driven down by competition from overseas folks (and generative AI), but there is high demand currently.
Other than the guess that you were in advertising to begin with we cannot answer the question without understanding your aptitudes. But you'll want to leverage what you learned from your current job into what you do next (which isn't necessarily technical skills).
Blue collar work which has to be done in locally (e.g. landscaping, car/home repair, HVAC install, plumbing, etc.) is probably the "safest" career, but it tends to be hard work but we have no clue what you like and what you are good at.
