Has he put together a race since college? Feel like anytime I see results from him he’s getting beat by no names (no disrespect to the runners beating him).
For every Jess Hill, Sinclaire Johnson and Raevyn Rogers, Julien has a Charlie Hunter, David Ribich, Eric Jenkins. His results as a coach are all over the place. Hunter gave it a go but he needs to leave UAC. It’s not working.

Dude, he was 25 or 26 at oregon. There wasn’t much room for improvement.
Feels like he’s gone backwards in his time with the club. College PRs of 1:45 and 3:36, looks like he’s run 3:34 once and broken 1:46 once in his time with UAC per world athletics.
Also, is it just me or am I crazy for assuming he’d broken 1:45 with Oregon? I remember him winning the 800i title; in the class with Hocker and Teare he was always the 800 guy. If there’s more to give, it definitely isn’t with the UAC. With Craig gone and Brazier always hurt I have to imagine the value of training with this team isn’t the same as it was 3 years ago. Hope he finds motivation and improvement elsewhere, would be great to see him competing as an equal with his old Oregon teammates.

As Old Senior pointed out, he was older in his last year at Oregon (he's turning 27 this year) so it's not surprising that he hasn't dramatically improved but definitely concerning that he appears to be moving backwards. In fact, Julien doesn't seem to have any guys on the team moving in the right direction. Bartlsmeyer ran fast in that one indoor race but I'm not sure he's really improving from where he was under Jerry. I'm not even sure what guys are still with the UAC (Jenkins?) so the training environment doesn't sound like the best. Still hope Chuck can put it together, with or without Julien.
