Altitude, super(-ish?…maybe not as much aid in sprints) spikes, super track, a championship event, and a great athlete. I don’t really know what to think about times in an event seldom run by super elite sprinters, but a win is a win, and a D1 ncaa win is indeed a big win!
All credit to him, as he seemed to have been having a down year, but all the better for him to run his best when it counts and to leave some for outdoors. In previous years, he has competed so much and at such a high level indoors, that he seemed tired. Obviously, it has been noted correctly that he tightens up and slows down at the end of races and that his form really breaks down a lot. A form coach could do wonders for him as a pro.
White sprinters have always stood a better shot of having success running the 200m. Boling a great example.
LeMaitre broke that 10.00 but look at where he had his most success, yep.....200 meters, The last white USA Olympic cats were Mark Lutz in 76 and Larry Questad in 68, both 200m sprinters,
Hell Olympic gold 200m Italians Livio Burruti and Pietro Mennea,
Mel Patton 1948 200Gold, Bobby Morrow 56 gold, Borzov's 20.00 his best time.
Look at SEC sprinting, other than Boling give me the name of a white SEC sprinter, can ya do it?
HS kid Forest Beatty and the 200m, Google it.
I do see Boling for what he is a stud NCAA 200m, but it will end there.
