Happens with politicians all the time. They start out as some dummy who wins a seat as county supervisor by pimping some populist garbage. The next thing you know they are on regional air traffic boards and finance committees and all kinds of stuff they know nothing about. Then they run for state senate or something because the served their masters well and the next thing you know they're cabinet secretaries of the USA.
This is a hilarious scene from the movie There's Something About Mary! HD quality - This is what kettlbell is NOT about :p. Stop looking for the magic exerci...

Don't you know? Everyone with an opinion is an expert.
Everyone I meet in a day is an expert on the economy. Or the War in Ukraine. Or Alec Baldwin's guilt. Or Patrick Mahomes' ankle. If only we were to elect this person supreme-dictator, they'd solve all the world's problems with no more than a couple minutes thought.
The Athlete Special is NOT an elite athlete. His mile time would currently slot him 96th in the NCAA. But here we are (me included) talking about him. I began enjoying running due to its objectivity. You run faster, you place higher, you’re better than the person behind you (at least on a given day). Simple. Social media has allowed everyone to be famous, which is fine, but it doesn’t mean TAS is good at this. The equivalent in basketball would be a guy that tells you the best way to make 3-pointers and then films himself making 5 out of 100 at his local park. Would you trust that guy for 3 point shooting advice? Then why does anyone look to these people for advice? This video is either him taking the piss or a grown man acting like an adolescent to build a brand. Ultimately, that brand doesn’t run fast, win races, or contribute to the sport on any level. So, this is where he’s at.

When Spencer ran his sub 4 only 30 or so guys in the NCAA were faster. Old shoes.
This is hilarious. Is he in on this joke? I am old as F and I have better abs than him. I don't even do ab exercises. I started doing a plank once a day this year though. This is why AS needs a real coach. Even Al Sal will do. He needs structure in his training. Not just make up stuff as he goes along.
Man did I just get DUNKED on. I apologize for not recognizing TAS as the world star that he is. Quick research has him 37th in the NCAA indoor that year (not on tfrrs though as he ran unattached?). Ran at Boston. TAS has the shoes as well now and should be reaching his prime. I, Coach Matt Choi, will gladly come back to this thread to give Spencer his proper respects as an ELITE athlete if, as a post-collegian, he can run a mark in the next 12 months that would put him in the top 100 of the NCAA in mile or 3K (4:00.60/7:59.02).
