The world's greatest footrace is returning after nearly a 4-year wait and we'll give you the inside scoop from Australia. Plus is the Coriolis Effect real?
Plus we'll be investigating whether the Coriolis Effect real as JG and myself will simultaneously flush our toilets on opposite sides of the globe.
The Coriolis Effect does not apply to small-scale phenomena like the draining of toilets and sinks. In both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, some drain clockwise and some counterclockwise.
Anyway, if you really want to test the Coriolis effect use the plug hole in the sink rather than the dunny as in mine it just gets flushed straight down. 💩🚽🧻
There is nothing to explain about Bathurst. It’s a mid size regional town famous for its motor racing track and annual race. Other than that is has nothing really going for it.
The XC course is at the base of this track, traversing what? Car parks, vineyards and farms and some empty blocks of land..? It’s a 2k loop. Like a links course in some amazing spot couldn’t have given up a few holes to create a 2k loop. Like there aren’t already courses around in better spots than Bathurst.
They've parked this event for so long, they could have moved it to a much better spot. Anyway, it’s here, it is what it is…
Have you ever seen an xc course that splits into 3 paths as it goes through a vineyard? LetsRun's Jonathan Gault is in Australia and he gives you the highlights of his first day Down Under.
Good article but the course looks stupid. It’s insanely hilly, has a mud and sand pit, and has obstacles intentionally placed to make it slower. Why can’t they host it at Van Cortlandt? That’d be a tough but fair course.
