65 degrees for the low and 75 for the high and 21mph winds out of the south. I seriously doubt that anyone will break 1:04 in those conditions. Sell might be the favorite. But if it is slow I don't see him winning it. What does the forum think?

Not a very accurate prediction (as if predicting weather is easy to predict anyway)

For the life of me I cannot figure out how you would come to the conclusion the conditions will be hot?
It looks absolutely perfect to me.
Exactly -
that was my same point malmo.
It might be a little bit humid at the 7:00 AM start but that will change during therace; temperature and wind are okay.
"No such thing as bad weather, just soft people" - Bowerman.
But anything between 35 and 75 with no parcipitation sounds pretty good to me for a half marathon. Wind is very hard to predict (just as Geb) so we'll have to wait until race day to see about that.
65 degrees at the start is not cool. 21 mph winds out of the south suck. But more importantly for a guy like Sell who has been training in much cooler conditions in Michigan that is a huge temperature swing.

I feel so very sorry for you.
Malmo, How many current world records above 1500 were set at 65 degrees or warmer?
from florida it feels cool and you are still quoting incorrect temperatures!!
the hottest part of the day will not be at 7:00 AM
Malmo - I thought you were supposed to be some kind of wise running guru. Surely you can understand that 65 to 75 degrees could be less than optimal for folks training in sub-freezing temps for months.

I would think most. You're new to the sport aren't you?
No he is just a hard ass. You have to remember he is from the era when all races were held at noon and then didn't use water during marathons.

No. It wouldn't even occur to me at all. 65 degrees is perfect.

Really, when was this?
Well, maybe you ain't too bright then.

Yes, that must be it.
You might think that. But you would be wrong. I can say that for sure the 10,1/2, and marathon were all set in conditions cooler than 65 degrees.
