I love track&field. I train hard everyday to reach my goals in this sport but if this is going to be allowed this will take away biological women’s livelihoods. We don’t stand a chance. We may as well give up now. I’m not anti trans. It’s just a matter of what’s fair & what isn’t https://t.co/O7jXHSbvNy

Great, more athletes need to speak out like this. stop letting the extremely vocal minority call the shots.
A lot of people say that women should just refuse to compete but that is IDIOTIC because it makes it easier for cheater trans to win.
the women should band together and be extremely vocal. protest. make the trans athletes feel unwelcome, don't shake their hands. make a statement on the podium if a trans beats them, put their fists in the air or take a knee or something.
I love track&field. I take drugs hard everyday to reach my goals in this sport but if this is going to be allowed this will take away doped up drug heads' livelihoods. We don’t stand a chance. We may as well give up now. I’m not anti cheating. It’s just a matter of what’s proper cheating & what isn’t.
I don't think people with clear biological advantages should be allowed to compete as females, .....but there is ZERO threat to women's sports as a whole.
Zero.
I've been hearing about this 'end of women's sport' for years now and it's been nothing but a tiny blip. As a whole, women's sport is completely unchanged. The vast majority of the millions that compete in women's sport is completely unaffected in any meaningful way at all.
The recent UK census showed 0.2% of the population are transgender. On average you'll meet two transgender people a year. The chances of meeting one in a professional shot put competition is even smaller.

First of all that only holds true if shot put/athletics has exactly the same rate of individuals who are transgender as the general population, which is unlikely to be true.
Regarding the comment about being brave, making comments like this can be career suicide. Also, women who speak out often get death threats, rape threats etc. Look up JK Rowling and what she had to deal with, it's extreme.

Even if a "tiny blip" you're referring to is one medal, well, a spot on a team, that's already unfair and enough to demand the change.

The point is to stop the chance of transgender people in women sports. That would be beneficial for everyone. If you don't regulate then it becomes a mess as we witnessed in 800m; and now it's even bigger joke, since athletes moved to longer distances; it's like saying, you'll be banned by taking testosterone for 800m, but you're ok in the 5k.

I completely disagree with your point, ban them from the sport or get rid of womens sports in general. there is no point in watching womens sports as they are less athletic and its boring.

Even if true, that doesn't make it right.
This the young 18 year old woman who was bumped from a spot at the Olympics by 45 year old transwoman Laurel Hubbard.
Here’s Roviel Detenamo who didn’t get to Tokyo because new rules allowed a veteran male lifter into her female category.
Women were excluded from Olympic weightlifting until 2000. In 2021 a woman is being excluded once more /6 pic.twitter.com/ksKZ8c2KGg
This is happening all over the sporting world in major events from cyclocross to surfing, skateboarding, powerlifting, and beyond. Some of us who care about women's sports want to see opportunities for women preserved and fair competition.

Yea thats not correct. There has been a huge haul of palmares by trans and biological males in just the last few years post Semenya. I agree with you it may not be the "end" of women's sorts, but this sucks as some events are just pre determined.
Look up Nyonsaba, Mboma, Semnya. Big haul. Taking medals from Women. Even if you transition, you have the advantages of T when you developed. As far as DSD, I feel bad for them, but we have to draw the line.

Notice how you didn't list a single trans athlete.....
Friendly reminder, this is an emotional topic for most. Please be respectful. Disagreeing strongly about the role of trans athletes in sport is fine but forgetting the humanity of trans athletes is not.
