idk check out the Sweat Elite video from a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure Hobbs had 4 tempo miles as opposed to Grice's 2, and he did them just as fast, then the stuff the did on the track afterwards still seemed a lot more impressive than Grice. That's not to say Hobbs will be better this summer (he very well might be though), but right now he might just be faster.
What is/was the story for him re: NAU? Is he still a student there, or did he leave after one semester or something? I know he never intended to compete for the team, but I thought he was going to study and train there.

It seems like it didn’t work out from a support standpoint. He’s moved back to Michigan to be closer to training partners, Warhurst, his family etc. Still goes on altitude trips. Seems to be clicking this year.
It's funny I've followed VNTC for my interest in Hobbs and have come away thoroughly impressed by Flanagan at every turn. Could turn into a really great runner at whatever he chooses 10k+.

Yeah he's the star of the show in their videos haha. Not that it should come as a surprise to anyone who saw his 10000m final. "Where's my mom?!". I also think that even he has underrated his speed potential. Hopefully results like this will encourage him to try to get into a fast 5000m race.
