Over the past few years false nails (acrylics) have become incredibly popular. Long pointy ones, oval, short ones - different colors and styles. However, they are really fake.

They’re awful. Healthcare workers are not supposed to have them because they harbor on average 4x more bacteria than natural nails, which can be transmitted to patients.
I like them the same color as their normal nails but if they're all sorts of other colors than not as much. It is fascinating how they can enhance a woman's attractiveness though. Perhaps because men associate them with increased female promiscuity.
Yes, same with fake hair, hair dyed “natural” color, and heavy makeup. Obvious, elective facial procedures also fit the bill. I’d rather see a tat on someone’s face than an artificially smooth and puffy face or even theater level makeup.

Do you find them nice or off-putting?
If they are faking those, what else are fake?
Honestly, if they are "over the top" then yes but "over the top" is going to be my subjective opinion.
Fingernails seem like something from a totally different culture than mine. How could you swim, mountain bike, or rock climb if you had to worry about all the superficial stuff like nails and make-up? My wife is in great shape after all these years of marriage because we are both very outdoorsy and active. I think a woman with a fit triathlon/runner figure is a lot more naturally sexy than face paint and those creepy nails.
You know what is attractive? A woman who can hike into the back-country and make espresso over a campfire after setting up a cozy lake-side tent. Honestly, in that scenario, I am not thinking about her fingernails.

Nails? I mean, women do frequently pretend to be martyrs, but comparing themselves to Jesus seems like a bit much, even for the biggest of drama queens.
I find fake nails - and heavy makeup and elaborate hairdos with extensions and tons of noxious "product" applied - incredibly off-putting on anyone.
I find acrylic nails, especially the long talon-kind, unattractive to the point of being repellant not just on women, but on men who are drag queens, male makeup artists like James Charles, male influencers and media darlings like Alok Vaid-Menon, and male non-binary activists like the former Biden admin bigwig Sam Brinton.
