I just finished Rich Roll's book Finding Ultra. He is a big Plant based endurance proponent and raves about the changes in health, fitness, sleep and athletic performance by going plant based. i'm not talking about partial vegan where you cut out meat. It is the complete ridding the diet of processed food and getting just about everything from plant. Many other runners that I respect also are vegans even though they don't broadcast it or sell it publicly.
I figured the only way that I can find out if this is real or BS once and for all is to do it myself. I am very strong willed and would have no problem testing it 100%. It seems the biggest problem is the logistics of it all. I am not going to burden my wife with creating all of these meals or completely revamping how to get groceries and where we buy them. So it stands to reason that I would need to become my own "chef" and meal preparer.
Any vegan runners in the house?
1. How did you handle the difficulty in what appears to be a lot of work to eat that way?
2. Are the running and health gains real or BS?
