Saw Eric Avila there too, but I think he was bandit-ing it, running alongside another dude I didn't recognize but Eric isn't in the results hehe

I don’t care how downhill it was, but 1:02:29 for Sergio Reyes at 41 is impressive. Is this course legal for OTQ?
Chad Hall in second.

By all means this course is fast (600 feet net downhill) but there's also 350 feet of elevation gain over some hills in the beginning and end. Really solid time but I'm left wondering why all these pros showed up to what I assumed would just be a local road race.
They offer a small prize purse but the course is super aided. A few years back I ran almost 4 minutes faster in this course than I had in 2 years.
Josh Kerr fails to run an OTQ and limps back to the 1500m

I ran it this morning - not only is it a local road race but a small one for SD. had no clue pros would be here lol. don't believe it is an OTQ

He is brave to do it. Don't criticize him.
No, the half-marathon 2024 OTQ times aren't accepted until after Jan 1st, 2023. The marathon window is two years out, the half is just one.
Houston half-marathon on Jan 14th will likely produce a few.

He’s also Scottish lol…The time is fine, it’d be nice to see him run a better 3000/5000 this year like we saw out of Wightman last year.
Josh has a huge target on Jake's back and wanted to one-up the latter's annual winter 10K.
How the hell is Hall still running well?
Love the LCD reference!
I’ve done the race a few times, it’s net downhill but the uphills and turns make it a real effort, I think a pancake flat course is faster.
really solid effort from Josh. Impressive for a 15 guy. Solid effort from Henry Wynne as well.
