Jakob was asked what his mileage was during cross country season and he said, on a normal week it was 185-190 but weeks prior to the cross country championship race he says it was lower, to feel fresher on race day.
His advice for the young athletes
"Do a lot of mileage to be a strong runner but you need to slow down to then feel fit on the day of the race."
This site see high mileage as a red flag but everyone who won a national championship title this year are all high mileage.
