Julien explains that his preparation in Kenya was superb and he was hoping for a great race but unfortunately on the plane from Kenya to Europe he caught a cold with headache, chest pain, throat discomfort, and every other symptom possible but he still decided to take part in the race and 25 km he was still on track for 2:06:30, but then he had no more energy due to this sickness and had to drop out of 31 km. In the post he continues to say that he will be back and even surpass his previous bests achieved in 2019, and to all his fans and followers to keep faith in him and that he will definitely be back to a greater level than the past - it is just a blip in his cv which will be rectified soon.
