L&L A drama series took over LR, people forgot Champs XC. Its off season now, everyone is getting ready for indoors. Fax, more will watch A L&L tell-all livestream than the race.

Why diminish the accomplishments of highschool kids?
You're absolutely right. NXN will always be the real nationals of XC, others are just a bunch of meets.
The consolation national meet?
No way, not if NXN is going to leave highly ranked teams home watching the meet each year. There’s a team that sat at home that would’ve finished 7th at NXN….fix the issues NXN….you already came in and stole Footlocker’s runners by adding individuals to what originally started as a Team National Championship. Don’t y’all have enough money??? Greedy, greedy, greedy

zoomer spotted
theres a reason why bill meylan gives such high speed ratings to footlocker races before 2004
How about you look at the past winners of Footlocker/champs, some of the best runners in high school history. You can look at the same course in SD and compare past greats to current stars. Footlocker/champs meet is the individual meet for those that don't have a team for NXN. This is so crazy to say that if you are not in the top 5 in each region you are in a consolation meet, there are runners in the footlocker/champs meet that are just as good or better than the athletes in the NXN race. So really most of you that would say anything about the lack quality of Footlocker is not understanding the sport.
Personally I would like to see NXN drop or reduce the number of individual qualifiers. This year's NXN was crazy in that 24th place counted for only 7 points. It makes it difficult to guesstimate team placement at the finish

Well Hunter Jones and Kole Mathison are just two of the guys that are running Champs, so you must be right LOL
I could give you the list of past winners and the list of current runners in this race that are already signed with top DI schools in the country but as I can tell you don't understand and possibly are not a runner. I truly wish you could talk to us that have won this race or finished in the front and explain to all of us how it did not lead to some great things.
I would bet you never ran nxn or footlocker
lol lol lol this is so fun
NXN has had like 5 or 6 notable winners compared to the history of footlocker/champs.
If I am an individual I would not go to NXN.
*If I am an individual that can only go to one meet I would not choose NXN
Yeah NXN true team Champs.
Foot Locker is the national champion.
I'm in this boat... NXN for sure team championship but Foot Locker is the national champion with so many ex-Olympians and NCAA Champions and American Record holders racing.
Only losers criticize the meet and the guy that started the thread is a loser.
Because it gave him a little feeling of power that is probably lacking in his day to day life.
He got to take a shot at high school kids who have accomplished something he never did, and people who have built and sustained an event that he never could build.
We need to read some of the posts on here and ask ourselves, "Did a truly successful, accomplished, self-actualized, happy person post this?" Way too often the answer is an emphatic no.
NXN has had more and more noteable winners recently, but then often times the second best guy at NXN (Cole Hocker) goes to Footlocker/Champs and wins it, which might honestly show the depth of these meets
