Ideally you should have a yearly average minimum of 15 mpw maybe.
Just per week seems to harsh for injured people.
But it's time to keep the riff raff out her of people who trash the forum with their weird stuff and post one run in arctic conditions in a year and think they are some sort of a tough runner.
I actually did a race this year and run in temps that you would cry about. And I have PRs which take work, no one can do them without training unless they are ultra talented.
Oh boy you did a race this year! That is wonderful, to bad you can't impress anybody on a running forum with that. I had to look it up, I did 10 races this year, nothing spectacular but one with a 2nd place finish for the age group. And I also did one race in temps you would cry about, just in the other direction, hot and humid.
No I was not ultra talented. To you, maybe, but I was never beyond the 4th or 5th best runner at my high school at 800m and up. Maybe in xc I was top 3 senior year and that's debatable.
Ultra talented is well under 2 for 800 when you are a teenager, or 4 minutes for 1500m.
Those are ultra talented.
And again you're wrong, I didn't piss anything away. You act like I should have been racing to feel better about myself. I don't have to.
Do people like Renato Canova, John Kellogg, Vin Lananna, and Mark Wetmore all still run? Jos Hermens? All the greats of the past? How many pickup basketball games do Adrian Wojnarowski or Dick Vitale play these days?
It’s a site for fans as much as active competitors, and there should be no mpw quota required for participation. Sorry if this answer was too serious.

Nope sorry. Runners should require a minimum mileage to be reminded that running isn't as easy as they pretend it is. Maybe they'd have a little more respect for our athletes.
