It's impressive by any measure. I saw the segment on CNN this afternoon, assumed she'd run 4 hours or so, and was stunned when the guy who came on right after the race-reveal said, in effect, "You're not going to brag on yourself, but I'm going to brag on YOU, girl!"

I found her result on the NYC Marathon website and ran the age-grade, which is 78.29%.
At our present cultural moment, when everybody wants a pat on the back and clap-hands going "Good for you! You're SUCH a winner" no matter the result, we might all pause for a moment and appreciate her truly fine performance.
