Kipchoge obviously, the 400mH is a circus event in comparison to the marathon. Come back in a few years and we can discuss again if Sydney is dominating the 400 flat and has broken the doped Koch record.

This is a thread for 10 yrs in the future, or maybe never again. Kip has medaled in multiple events, is a tireless and articulate ambassador of the sport and is a mentor to many athletes. Syd on the other hand....

…is pretty, laps fast, and gives glory to god. Kipchoge thinks no human is limited, so man is god, and by consequence he is god.
Both are beyond their competition overall and can't be compared against each other...the only comparable fact is Sydney's 400H WR scored higher then ANY performance in track and field or road running history.

......
I stand corrected as I was going off memory; however after fact checking Kiochoges new WR scored 1325 to NcLaughlin's 1315 on IAAF performance chart Both fall way short of the top 3 steroid tainted Eastern Bloc, Germany etc days of 1970-80's.

I was being facetious. If you want to compare world records, it’s notable that McLaughlin’s WR is 1.7% better than the next fastest person. Kipchoge’s WR is only 0.4% better.
The likelihood of enough woman running faster then McLaughlin current world is so remote that she will remain prominent and relevant for a long time Who to say she is even finished with her 400h record or what other events she might excell at in upcoming years.
Kind of a strange topic to bring up, but as much as I love me some Sydney 400 meter hurdle running, if that's the event you want to bring up, then, as others have mentioned . . . let's talk about Edwin Moses. Not only, as others mentioned, did he win 107 consecutive finals, he also broke the world record four times. Having said all that, still a bit weird to compare Edwin to Kipchoge. Such way different specialities. Maybe a little like comparing Tom Brady to Jerry Rice. Same sport, vastly different positions and skill sets.

Something about her say she is fake.
(I don't know maybe it's my 6th sense) and that is training her was a hype and I'm allergic to hypes.
