I feel like I've made several of these posts because something always happens the day before a race that throws me off. I'll get to the point. I have a 5k tomorrow and I feel crappy.
Tuesday: had a tough workout in the heat but felt really good. Definitely felt tired on cool down but legs weren't sore the next day. Phew.
Wednesday: easy run in the heat. legs felt "dead" for the first mile, something I don't honestly experience too much since I'm not a high mileage runner. Ate ice cream and started noticing stomach issues.
Thursday: more stomach issues that weren't super bad but noticeable. Still ran and they bothered me on the run. Lots of diarrhea. Felt a bit cold at one point, but otherwise myself. Did I push myself too hard during the workout? Was it still the ice cream? (probably). My legs felt pretty bad and I felt terrible on the striders.
So, what to do?
