I am curious to see what happens with Team Boss over the next few years.
Coburn seems to be in decline despite her optimism about her fitness this year.
Mcgee made another team but still cannot crack the 4:00 barrier. With Maclean, Johnson, St. Pierre, Hurta, Cranny and more young talent coming up I think she will have a really hard time making another team.
I have lost track of the number of athletes who have joined the team over the last year. It seems like Joe Bosshard has committed to A LOT to be single-handedly coaching that many athletes in so many different events (800 all the way to marathon) without support staff or the backing of one team sponsor. I think he has a ton of promise as a coach but may have bitten off more than he can chew for now…
Over the next few years I can see Emma retiring and serving as his assistant coach, but would love to see him have another breakout athlete who is competitive on the world stage first.
thoughts?
