Advice needed. 39yo and i have never raced before. I just run for fun between 60 an 70mpw for almost 2 years now. I have my first 10K race planned on September 10th as a tune up race for HM in October. This weekend i ran 3x2 miles to see where i am. Workout was on track and the race is on the road.

First 2 miles 6:07
2 min rest
Second 2 miles 6:04
2 min rest
Third 2 miles 6:02
CD 2 miles
I was planning to go for under 40mins, but was surprised i ran so fast this workout and now i am confused what pace i should start with and what time to target. Is it to conservative if i go out at 6:30?
I should mention i used vaporflys for the first time.
