Let's not ever talk about BTC "not racing" again.
I've honestly always thought the argument was a bit unfair because of the heavy weight that Schumacher coached professional groups put on the actual season which runs from the middle of April to the middle of September.
If you look at the total amount of races (and the consistent success) of Schumacher coached groups - much of which occurs over the late spring and summer months, the notion that they "don't race" is absurd.
Jerry has always let his athletes race A LOT during the late spring and summer. They choose to race regularly during the outdoor track season and train/time-trial during a lot of XC/Indoor and early Outdoor. It is actually a very wise way of doing things in my opinion, if you're focused on running Outdoor track at the highest level.
