I have noticed a small improvement in performance and am definitely dropping weight. Been supplementing 330 mg per day for about 40 days. Dropped 4 lbs. 161 to 157.
I consume over a pound a day of beef per day, so at least 500mg/day in a 100% bioavailable form with all bio-cofactors intact. My athletic performance, sleep and libido are top notch and 8% body fat year around. Try it for a month and you will never look back.

@Nike$ Thanks, that's great you've achieved that gradual weight loss and performance gain in this first month.
@XY - Thanks, eating over a pound of beef must give you some incredible nutrients. Those are solid results, particularly your 8% body fat! Curious - with your meat consumption, do you still eat a solid percentage of your intake in carbs (like 50% plus) in order to maintain your mileage and running?
Well, there was a guy who coached once who dabbled in this arena......but he can't play track anymore :(
This thread is about supplementing on the order of less than a gram to a couple grams a day for a few months. Salazar had Magness inject 1000mL over 4 hours. If I'm not mistaken, I think 1000mL is about 850 grams.

Carbs are ~100g/day recently, all in the form of fruit. Most of my health improvements came with zero carb, I find the fruit tunes things perfectly for my running. I might reduce that over the winter, depending on sun exposure, training etc..

Interesting. Can I ask what your times are in running? I am just curious what sort of times some runners are able to get with a low carb, high protein diet like this? Again, I am sure you get lots of nutritional benefit from the meat. Thanks.

I am well into my 60s and don't compete at this time. I run about every other day, 15-30 miles/week plus hiking etc.. I would probably be around low-20s for 5K, maybe just under 6:00 for a mile and just under 70 for 400(based on track sessions and comparing to my younger decades as a serious runner, and coaching masters runners). The latter is important because I am shooting for under 70 age 70.
I am at or near world age record level for rock climbing (hence the benefit of low body fat, even compared to running). My upper body strength is better than at any other time in my 30 years as a sponsored climber. I have never been injured in that sport (some previous very serious injuries as a runner).
Thank you, appreciate you giving more details on your running background. That's good to hear how you can do what you do in running with that diet. Along with your rock climbing, it definitely sounds like this diet is good for keeping you strong and low in fat. Thanks for the insights!

Did your BF drop as a result of your low-carb diet compared to before you went keto? If so, do you know if it was because you were consuming fewer calories with the low carb diet? Or same calories and greater thermic effect of digestion? Or something else?

How often do you poop?
Well considering he is full of krap, my guess is not often enough.
