Color me surprised.
Cole?
Hocker will possibly land on On. IMO.

Originally the article was a placeholder. Full article says he’s staying with Thomas per agent Flynn. Weird to have Cole and scooper breakup?
If Thomas gets access to the special burritos I see 3:27/12:38 incoming!
At a quick glance over thread titles, BTC looked like B*TCH.

Lolno. He's a Nike athlete.

Teare is going to be a monster in the 5,000. I think he will take to Jerry's training well as he fits the mold of athlete that does well in the system (strength-based runners with speed). I don't think Hocker does as well, so I think they made the right moves collectively. I predict Teare runs 12:50ish by the end of 2024 and is at about Mo Ahmed's level of the last few years. I don't think we'll see him running the 1,500 at major champs but he should still improve to 3:31-3:32 a la Cranny/Schweizer.
Oh wow, that is honestly pretty shocking. Cilantro and Teare together now, we've come full circle from the Instagram "beef"
I think he will still do the 1500m in the future. In the 5000m he'll have several of his teammates he'll have to beat but in the 1500m he will only have Josh Thompson (and maybe Centro?), and that event is in general much more wide open at the US level
I see big things coming for Teare with Jerry and BTC. This really raises his ceiling in the 5000m if he can stay healthy on a very different training program. Jerry's not very credentialed in the 1500m as a coach, however, so it's not clear it will work out for the shorter distance. Hocker loses his best training partner. I don't know that Thomas just wants to be a coach of one. It's a bit surprising there.

Hopefully they have enough burritos to go around.

While I agree with this generally, I just trust in Jerry's system/coaching at 5,000 more than 1,500. To me, it seems Woody is on the way down and will be beatable for Teare going forward (especially at 5,000). That means Grant is the big danger, with Abdi Nur another big guy to beat. The 1,500 was down this year, but Hocker and Nuguse will be formidable going forward to me. Then you have Jonathan Davis, who Teare beat this year but not by a whole lot, Kessler closing the gap, and that team could get pretty hard to make in such an unpredictable race.
Not too fond of this move.
I wonder if Cooper would try the steeple now that he’s with BTC. I feel like he’d be good at it
This just ruined my day.
Should be a good fit for Teare given how little he raced this season.
