Why is it surprising that the meet is poorly attended. Americans don't care about it, with some exceptions (Ajee, the BTC boys).
The only thread about the meet prior to the start of the meet was about the BTC guys running in it.
Canada (and Jamaica) had World's and Commonwealths before it in the pecking order. Although both Sherica Jackson and Shaunae Miller-Uibo competed here.
The Brojos had numerous reports about the Euro meet before that meet even started, yet nothing about NACAC, even though it was an American participation meet, with NO Americans at Euro's. So go figure why the meet doesn't attract top American talent - seems that neither the Press (LR) or USATF really cares about the meet. That it followed World's in Eugene didn't help either, but the DL schedule had little to do with it - there are no DL meets during this period because of these area meets (NACAC and Euro's).
