Credit where it's due to Sam Parsons- he went into the European Champs 5000 final with the 18th fastest PB out of the 24 entrants and finished 6th- 15 seconds faster than the Eugene final and only 9 seconds behind Jakob.

Tinman is still cringe but respect where respect is due
I’ve been critical of Sam Parsoni in the past, mocking his performances and even referring to him as a “sub-elite” or “TinBeta.” But this year I’ve been impressed. After making the final at worlds he gave an interview where he finally sounded like someone excited to be a professional runner and not someone moaning about their mental health or playing with magic singing bowls in their Tesla. And I won’t lie I was rooting for him when he was up in that front pack. Sure he didn’t make it into the breakaway group for the medals but any of you pretending like this isn’t a big performance for him just can’t be pleased.
I'm no Sam fan, but it was pretty impressive in that field to finish 6th. Dude was on Yak's shoulder with a few to go, not bad, no matter the time.
Sorry but lol what? You mean when he was on Jakob's shoulder when Jakob was running mid-pack in 10th place?
Just double checked, he was exactly 2 seconds behind with 2 laps to go and he lost a further 7 seconds by the end. So not exactly on his shoulder but he was very much amongst it with 800 to go, compared to most of the field (including some hyped medal contenders).

+1. I've been impressed with Sam Parsons, the German, and the grit he's shown coming back from being roasted pretty consistently on social media. He's performing well when it matters and seems to have a better comprehension (in interviews) of who he is as a person. I always got a bit of an exuberant-entrepreneur/wannabe-startup-founder vibe from him in his prior interviews, but this year he's seemed different.
I think his contract is up at the end of this year. Maybe he's going to get another one?
I really don't see why Sam's running results are the focus of hyped attention, both too much (having an entire thread on the message board, and getting pounded, as usual, from the alpha dudes who will always hate him, like Trump supporters will always hate Pence. Kudos to Sm for being an ELITE runner -- which he is; it's just that he's not on the very top of the heap. Few make it as far as he has, and I'm one to celebrate his successes. He'll likely never be on par with Jacob and others in the 5k and 1500/mile, but he has done some impressive running, especially in 2022. I sure hope adidas sees his worth as a runner and continues to pay him to perform. They'd be da** fools not to resign him.
Gotta agree. Even if he is elite, not nearly as elite as other US runners who don't get a chance to qualify to run for Germany, where competition isn't exactly brisk. It's nice that he finished 6th, and maybe this is the beginning of a big surge upwards for him in the pro ranks. If that's the case I'll stand corrected. Right now his standout skill seems to be self-promotion.
