Definitely worth a discussion. On one hand you have to give it to the NFL - they clearly don't give a flying F-CK what anyone thinks about them, the state of the social climate, basic morals - none of it, because they know that for 22 weeks of every year they have the most desired-after sports viewing product in America.
On the other hand, I personally have found myself being pushed closer and closer to the edge with respect to "pro sports" - especially the big three, where the money these people are given for what ultimately is a past time is now at reprehensible levels given the pain the vast majority of society find themselves in financially. This news today, really has me teetering on the edge of being done with the NFL - a league that suspends players a year for weed use, yet thinks a player who asked over 20 women to jack him off after getting "sports massages" organized by his franchise is only worth 6. Meanwhile Trevor Bauer is on his couch in the middle of a 2 year ban for his behaviour which also wasn't criminally prosecuted.
Now apparently this suspension was decided on my an internal yet somehow "independent" arbitrator (that sits between the head office and the players association) so the league technically can appeal it at which it would go to Goodell to make a final ruling. This scenario and what Goodell may rule is basically the last chance for the NFL to save any face here, but again do they really need to or remotely care to? Irrespective of what happens just sad times, really sad times.
