... how do you think Seb and Max will fare? Will they be able to bring Worlds and Pro One-Day meetings to Los Angeles and other major US cities? Discuss.

You do realize that Eugene has the only facility in the U.S. that a meet of this magnitude could be hosted, right?

Not necessarily true and Eugene itself didn't meet the WA criteria.

Eugene did not meet the original requirements that called for a 25,000 seat stadium.

OK, but name another facility in the U.S. that has at least 15k seating, practice track, and all the bells and whistles that you need for such a competition.
LA Coliseum obviously, but also Franklin Field in Philly.
Sir Coe said he's looking at "L.A., Florida, Texas". Max wants big cities only. Both never want to hear the angry white neighbors barking at them as they walked around Hayward Field.
It's hard to attend an all-day track meet in Florida in March, let alone July. These people are idiots.
Your statement is false, constitutes 'disinformatiion", "A Big Lie".
All day track meets in July were held at the Beijing Olympics, Tokyo Olympics, Seoul Olympics, Osaka World Championships, etc. where it's just as humid and hot as Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania.

Somebody failed geography in school. Pennsylvania does not compare to Florida or Texas heat and humidity in the summer, but for maybe one week of a heat wave.
They'll bring it back to the US if anyone wants it. Are there takers besides Eugene? There's plenty of tracks that fit the criteria, but it's obviously a matter of having a complaint stadium and associated space. Too bad at least one major MLS city didn't build their stadium with a track. That would be about the right size. I don't think any city is going to build a stand-alone track stadium a la Eugene. Granted, they could probably erect a temporary stadium at any number of tracks or simply add to a track that already has a base stadium.
All right apparently most people here really don’t know their track and field…Mt. Sac’s new facility? Practice 300 meter track, has expandable seating capable fitting up to 20k seats. If Mt/.Sac can’t expand their facility for more seating…then there’s the memorial coliseum with the USC track only a half mile away, which is (guess what?)…around the same distance as the warm up area to the track in Tokyo. IAAF/ USATF/ Nike can support the funds to install a mondo facility inside if it’s needed, they can do it as late as 2027. They’ll be fine for LA 2028, y’all act like talking crap on here is gonna do something. Ya’ll sound like that dumb kid Chase_wald all over Bowerman’s social media blaming moh Ahmed for tripping grant when in fact he never em touched him.

Sebastian Coe ruled out Eugene for future consideration.
