He looked like he was running through the crowd at Times Square. Zigging and zagging. Crazy. Great run, but he can’t let this happen when he’s no longer head and shoulders above the other athletes in ability.
Did not think he would have the wheels with 140 to go and he had to get out of a horrid box.
Teare's wheels have gotten underrated because Cole Hocker was closing every race in sight in 25.x last year. Dude can definitely close and he should have an outside shot at snagging a medal if everything breaks right in a month.
And if Im in the 5,000m tomorrow watching this (and Teare ends up running) I dont want him around on the last lap.
Would love to see a video of this race!! No cable and didn’t buy the usatf/runnerspace subscription
The broadcast is free on NBC. Over the air. We put that up on our tv page.
Same with tomorrow.
Now. It's interesting to see who goes to Worlds. Teare has the standard. Josh Thompson has the world ranking. He's in. Jonathan Davis doesn't have the ranking nor does Holt or Brown and given how tactical that race was, I don't think the bonus points for US will give them enough points. SO I think Gregorek will go in 6th.

Sub 52 last lap in heavy traffic, is world class finishing speed in a 1500. 37.96 last 300 - 37.50 is on pace for 50.00. I don't think Jakob has ever closed a 1500 that fast (to be fair all of his 1500s go out in 1:53 or faster).
