It wouldn't be bad if she joined Ritz and was training with Monson.
The best pro group right now would probably be OAC. Having Monson to train with coach Ritz would be great.
However, Tuohy seems to really enjoy the collegiate running experience and the team culture at NC State. If I were her, I would stay and enjoy college and keep making memories with her teammates until she graduates, then go pro. The only exception would be if she can make tons of money going pro, but most runners don't make much so that's probably not the case.
Did she graduate? If she hasn’t graduated the question of what pro team she will join is moot. She is smart and knows that a professional career can be fickle. She is also smart enough to know that she has a lot of room for improvement so that when she does decide to become a pro, her contract will be worth more once she improves.

I think she can get a big contract already. times don't matter. she is a name. very likeable. I don't see her going anywhere. money doesn't seem to be at the top of her values list. If she turns out to be cole hocker 2021 level, she could leave, but she isn't and won't be for at least one more year.
I agree that oac is the best place to be right now, but nike has all the money
In terms of distance runners, she is an average student. She isn't at Stanford or Michigan or ND or Princeton. She is attending an average D1 school.
Katelyn Tuohy can earn a lot through NIL deal with her 80,000 loyal followers, no need to rush going pro.
OAC AND BTC are the best teams now, whichever has a better team dynamic will land Tuohy.
A big contract would be $25k for her. She is popular but that would disappear after a year of not getting into a diamond league meet and finishing 5th in some B level meets.

OAC indeed is the top track team in the U.S. right now and they are a newly formed team, just 2 years if I'm not mistaken. Plenty of space in the team.
Well this is silly
Tuohy is very marketable, she's fast, now progressing very well, and consistent. She is already an NCAA champion, so that adds value to her contract, but her high engagement rate on social media is what adds bigger $ as brands now has started to ask their pro runners to promote and be more active on social media.
Brands and track teams would want to have her on their team, she will thrive and improve anywhere but Tuohy will not go anywhere until she graduates. She seem to be the type of kid who doesn't like to take shortcuts.
And Tuohy is far from her best, at the collegiate level. Fitness and speed wise she could get to another level while in college.
But if we are talking about IFS then it would be OAC! or BTC!

I think $25k for her is just 2 or 3 speaking gigs. The average student-athletes now earn up to $1,200 just for attending an event, and Tuohy ranks as one of the most marketable runner in the NCAA.
Yes she would get that now as a great NCAA runner but her popularity will disappear shortly after going pro because she will be a non factor.
Tinman to add to an already loaded roster with the likes of Joey Cheese and Aaron Templeton

It’s quite sad, actually.

Finish College first, then decide, stay away from BTC, too many red flags there. Joining Ritz would be good for many reasons, being at altitude will be a plus for sure. New Balance also has some great athletes but not sure where she would train.

I think Tuohy thrives anywhere that's healthy and team-oriented. She will not be a factor right away at the Pro ranks, that is normal for all but everyone eventually adjusts. I added that she has not peaked yet at the collegiate level and is only getting started hence me not believing she will leave the NCAA. She only worked on her kick just this season, she has so much more room for improvement.
If Katelyn will capitalize on her popularity, she can easily earn more than the average Pro runners as a college student-athlete.
I'm hoping she joins my neighborhood running team. We're not very good but we have a lot of fun and she's also a fun living person!!!
OAC is quite a team
