Yup. Idiot announcer said Sadiki as well. Gressier and Habz even worse starts.
All good. Was still a great race to watch. Wightman is looking dangerous. He's on par with Kipsang now. Wonder what his last lap was..
Would be awesome to see him PR again this year and get into the 3:28s
It's just considered a Appreciation Tour for international elites. Like a the NFL Pro Bowl you get a T-shirt, small appreciation fee, and free travel. The only ones that I liked were at the world class cities, Frisco, L.A., Tokyo, ...

Let’s not go overboard on Wightman - it’s a strong race indicating 3:31 fitness, but Kipsang had a similar big finish in a 3:31.01 win at altitude and beat Heyward by a similar margin in a bad race by his standards at Pre.
Some poor girl was left frozen on the starting blocks in the women's 100m.
She never even came to the set position. She must not have heard the set call, much less the gun. I like the idea of a boisterous crowd, but a little pause for the athletes to hear the commands is needed.

I noticed that. It seems that she would see everyone else coming to set and, if nothing else, put her arm up and then say that she couldn't hear.
That must be awful to get a shot at a Diamond League Meet and have it end that way.
