according to the wind calculator, that's worth a 10.80 at +2.0 or a 10.90 in still conditions. either way it's a great run at such a low key meet -- funny how so many dismissed her from her DNSes and 11.3 opener but she's rounding into form just in time.
at first I thought she would make the team but not be a medal threat. then after Pre where she beat Jackson it seems like silver could be hers for the taking. beating Thompson will still be tough but with Thompson getting older and Sha'Carri improving by so much every race, I think it's a possibility now.

You are no longer in my conversation of the possibility of being able to win WC. Hell at this rate winning USA Nationals don’t even look promising…. pic.twitter.com/81KHVObp6X

There’s a virtually unknown runner from Jamaica named Shelly-Ann that just might be a contender too.

I'm using this calculator which is based on a paper from 2018. the other one people are using (jmureika.lmu.build/track) is using dated conversion factors
Love to see her story have a happy ending, do feel the pot thing was beyond stupid, dudes who drink with dumb rules like that sucks. Pot.......really?
The girl would be good for the sport she looks the part.
This has always been a terrible argument. She knew the rules and nevertheless chose to break them because she disagreed with the rules (and marijuana was apparently more important to her than competing in the Olympics which just blows my mind). But that’s not what professionals do. We don’t pick and choose what rules we agree and disagree with. And if you disagree with a rule advocate for change, don’t just be a whiny infant about it.
I agree with marijuana bans generally being silly but we live in a society where we have to follow the rules that are agreed upon. Until the rules change they are to be followed whether we like them or we don’t like them.
The headline might as well have read “Prandini windy 10.75”
Yes, she finished almost in a dead heat with Prandini, in a Florida hurricane. The timing down there is often ridiculous, and at 4.3, wind gauges are inaccurate. While this race seems great, it doesn’t represent any progress over Eugene, unless she was well ahead and seriously shut down.
On the upside, they both beat Terry by 0.1—but to me that suggests that Terry had a poor race.
She STILL is nowhere near the top, but she does have a while yet. Being in a dogfight with Prandini might get her a relay spot, but not much more.
Bottom line, it’s good to see them all on the track and competing, SCR included 👍

No doubt Jamaica will have some other contenders ready in time for ETH and SAFP's retirements.
Happy for her. If Citius Mag et al want to continue having the inane conversation of track becoming a massive spectator sport, it needs figures like Richardson- brash, abrasive, electric, and above all else talented.
Hoping for the best for her! Been a rocky year or so, would be nice if she could continue to shed some image issues and some more time
