This got me thinking. l have seen a few people close to me at one time or people l knew in social settings die recently at a young age, not from illness, but form a sudden tragedy. This really got me thinking. Tomorrow is not a given! These people were young and l see so many people die on the news every night, some for silly reasons, carelessness, or suicide, or whatever. How would you change your life if your number was about to be called on this Earth? Are you right with God? What about family members?

Well, there's actually no "G-d," but it's still an interesting mental exercise.
I would probably hold off on the very time-consuming recruiting mailing that I'm putting together. (Or maybe not? It goes out under the head coach's name and I might like to leave him one last gift.) Definitely would follow up on getting registered as a cadaver donor--would like to think my carcass could help someone learn anatomy.
What else...would probably spend most of the time cleaning up all of my junk in the apartment and storage room. Why saddle someone else with that? [When my sister went into home-hospice care, she spent weeks getting her (rather spare) apartment organized for her survivors and did a terrific job, yet I still had to spend a few solid days hoeing the place out.]
Hmm. Might finally visit the Statue of Liberty. Been a NYer for decades but have never gone there.
Other than that, of course just some goodbye time with my immediate family. On good terms with all of them, so no fence-mending needed.

I really hope you reconsider you feelings about no God?That is just not true. You really need to get your feelings with God right! Heaven is something glorious my friend!

I don't believe any of that.
But I am confident that you do, and since people don't get to *choose* their beliefs and unbeliefs, I'm not interested in trying to change yours. If you had a week to live, I'm sure that your god-belief would be a source of comfort to you. I wish you well.
