Looking at the results tonight, there may be a new pack leader for the TME alphas.
That's a clown comment, bro. Parson's time tonight was OVER FIVE SECONDS SLOWER than his own teammate Brian Barraza's indoor 5k this past winter.
Alpha? Alpha? Somebody's falling victim to Wesfly's attempt to hijack the English language.
And, by the way, Jamaine Coleman's 2nd place tonight in his 1500 race in 3:39.37 is superior to Sam's 13:21.17 10th place 5k finish. Reed Fischer on the roads has excelled of late, too.
So temper your words, dude. Sam has shown improvement, but he's not the leader of the pack.

Are you claiming that Sahlman’s 1500 gives him a 5k 20+ seconds faster than Lex Young?

Coleman is a steeplechaser, who competed very well at the 15 beating a lot of guys with similar/better credentials. Parsons ran OK in his event (not a PB in a perfect setup) and high schoolers are generally going to be more competitive in a 15 than a 5,000. Sahlman is also better than Young and while he wouldn’t beat him by 20 seconds, 5-10 feels reasonable. So you have to account for one guy running an off event, and one guy having a meh performance in their event. How they stack up vs high schoolers doesn’t really matters especially if we’d expect Young to have run 3:43-44 or so in the Coleman race had he been in it
