Please don't exaggerate articles to the point where you are lying.

That's why it's standing rest - to limit mileage. Recovery/cool down on bike after workout.
she makes it look so easy. Her long stride with low cadence may be the cause of her injuries when she does too much easy mileage but works great when going fast.
damn. that's a sub-9:30 workout at least.

Considering her 15:25 converts to 9:37-8, she could be reaching that level.
What shoes was she wearing?
this is a strong workout, no doubt. but 4 x 1600 @ 5k pace with 1 minute rest is fairly normal. I would say it's advanced, but typical.

I doubt that. 1 minute rest? Few people could pull that off.

Jordan Hasay could run that.. Easily.
nobody cares, natalie cook does not do workouts or mileage, that is only a clone
If you listen to Carrie Tollefson’s podcast, Natalie’s mom talks about her training and how she was at really low miles early fall. She is now @24 miles a week - 5 days running (4-5 miles) with 2 days off. No long runs.
It’s an unbelievable work out. Period.
Not that it would be a key to racing fast for very many people, but running only 24 mpw would leave your legs very fresh for fast workouts. It is all obviously working out great for her.

It is certainly not normal! Did you mean to say 4 x 1600m @ 10k/HM pace with 1min rest?
This workout indicates 15 minutes for 5k.
It indicates 15:25-15:30. Why do so many posters jump to the conclusion that a race performance will be way faster than the pace of a session?
She's a tremendous talent and OSU is going to be a team to watch for years to come with Ms. Cook and others coming on board.
