You do realize that Elon Musk is a liberal, right?
But Dems have moved away from traditional liberal ideals to a more totalitarian Marxist direction. Things that used to be considered liberal will get you called a conservative today.

I would probably say that those beliefs would be considered "moderate," not conservative.
Let's look at this another way. What would you say about those that still hold traditional GOP values? Don't you think that pendulum has also swung very far to the right?
I consider myself to be moderate. I'm probably right of center on economic issues and a bit to the left on social issues. I'm sort of Libertarian but not quite. Even the Libertarian party seems to have strayed a bit from their beliefs. I know people that claim to be Libertarian yet they're opposed to gay marriage and are in favor of dictating what the LGBTQ does. Those are not Libertarians.
It is odd that both parties are so polar now. I have friends that are liberal, conservative, and moderate. My conservative friends think that I'm becoming more liberal and my liberal friends think that I'm becoming more conservative. It's whacked...
Elon Musk is offering $54.20 a share for all of Twitter--–and you don’t need to work up a discounted cash flow analysis to see how he arrived at the price.

Not a huge surprise. Musk doesn't passively invest. Afaik he controls every company he has investments in. Not sure if the Twitter board can even legally turn down his offer considering the high premium and their fiduciary duty to the shareholders.

Agreed, but something like saying that Men shouldn't be allowed to compete in women's sports, or housed in women's prisons will now get you tossed in with "the Right" in the view of the current Dems.
Saying that cities need to fund the police department and that looting is bad, will get you tossed in with "the Right".
I consider myself very very moderate, but the Dems have gone coo coo crazy on some of this stuff.

Biden literally just said in his state of the union that we need to fund the police more.
