Would love to see the 4 guys that ran 4:02 at Indoor Nationals + NP 4 guys + anyone else im missing at Brooks PR in the mile. Could be the first race to have multiple HSers under 4 min. Get a kid to pace them through in 1:59 and see what happens.

Add Harrison and maybe one or two others. 1:59, then 2:59 or 3:00 and we should see several under 4:00.

This is actually the dream. There's already 10 guys this year who have run 4:05.00 or faster, and if they're all in one race under good conditions + pacing in 60/2:00/2:59, we could have 5+ under 4 in one race. Colin Sahlman, Leo Young, Gary Martin, and Reinhardt Harrison are pretty much locks to do it if that chance comes around + anyone who happens to have a good day.
Gary Martin Isn’t Coming Back A DyeStat Story by Dave Devine________________ Gary Martin knew it was coming, but that didn’t make it any easier. He knew that lurking somewhere ahead on this wooded gravel trail was a hill with...
“Every race I’ve ever run. I’ve gone out with the leaders and tried to push myself. Even if I know I’m not matched, I convince myself mentally I can hang with them.”

Maybe? On Barna...First real effort of Spring after very very full indoor schedule. Martin was clearly prepping for a huge effort as he went sub 1:50.xx few days=week earlier.
Or Barna was also in that race last Friday and went 1:55. Maybe these are both early season tune-ups for Barna, but this is twice in less than a week they've raced and Martin has gotten the better of him both times.
Did not know Barna raced in that 800, not seeing stuff on these without help..lol. He is better than Barna at every distance, no one debates or even debated that. Barna has run 4:05.x for the mile 4:03.x 1600 relay split. And 1:52.x relay 8:51 3200. Martin is better at every distance, No one presumed or said otherwise, I do think he will run markedly faster by end of outdoor that this 4:09.x.

first round of invites have already been sent out for brooks, big names should be confirmed soon
PA prep led wire to wire in a high school only race and won by 9 seconds.
Keep your eyes wide open for Quinn Worrell who was third in this race. Just a year ago he had PRs of 4:38 and 2:03 and he has consistently worked his way into being one of the top kids in PA. This kid is a natural racer who will make his mark on the national level very soon. Lafayette got the biggest steal of the 2022 recruiting class with him.
