She's been running them since 1997 so that means she started at age 29 or 30.
She's averaged 40 a year for 25 years, with a Guiness record of 129 between Sept. 1, 2012, and Aug. 31, 2013.
Her PR is.... I'll reveal it in 1 hour.

get a life OP
Spoiler alert:
Since this is Letsrun, and only people who get off on bringing others down pretty much haunt these parts, I’m going to guess her PR is like 4:30:00 or above.
Otherwise OP wouldn’t get any joy from sh!roosting about her, as is consistent with your avg letsrunner
So she walked 1,000 marathons…why is this in a running magazine
I don't know that she ever broke five hours. Most of them were in the six hour range. I went out with Angela a few times. Nice girl and can get a little crazy when she has been drinking.
Do they call her Tortorice the Tortoise 🐢?
I'm more impressed with someone who does 1000 4 hour marathons than 1000 2:30 marathons. It's not like they're a twiglike 2:30 marathon body taking it easy for 4 hours. It's a thick slow 4 hour marathon body, putting out roughly the same effort for 60% more time.
Much like I am more impressed with you 135-145 lb twigs who throw the hammer, toss the shot put or heave the discus. Oh wait….there are no mass shot put events are there?
That's great. We have people on here who never finished a marathon ever.
Wearing number 218 in the Irving Texas Marathon she did this one in 7:11:29.
you know that somewhere in a dark dingy room doubler is desperately scouring over 1000 race results praying for that one missed timing mat.
Can people just not be happy for someone else without judging them?
Still impressive. She ran most between 6 and 7 hours so she's likely spent 6000+ hours running marathons (250 days!)
And the answer.
I found one at 5:26 and one at 5:27
1000 is a lot
This is why we come here. Thank you.
Genuinely impressed, 1000 marathons at any pace is noteworthy.
Was there (ran the 1/2). Wondered what on earth was going on as I was pushing towards the finish line and all of the sudden I have to navigate around this costumed mass of people plodding along 7-8 abreast across the course.
